Ms. Hylant began her career at Digital Equipment Corporation in 1979, As the first full time sales person in the Buffalo, NY office of Digital, Ms. Hylant was responsible for selling all of the products and solutions Digital offered. After two years as a sales generalist Ms. Hylant began focusing on public sector including higher education, K-12, and local government. In 1984 Digital named the State University of New York (SUNY) a key account and Ms. Hylant was named the Sales Executive managing SUNY across the state. In this position she was responsible for managing 13 sales people and 4 technical support people. In 1989 Digital won the contract for administrative and academic computing in the SUNY 17 colleges.
In 1990 Ms. Hylant accepted a position in Digital's worldwide Education Marketing division in Marlboro, MA. In this position she was responsible for training sales people in the US, Europe, and Australia in the needs higher education and how to sell to these accounts. She was also responsible for identifying solutions for this market and negotiating contracts with solution providers.
From 1994 to 1997 she worked for Johnson Controls Corporation and Servicemaster Corporation helping these companies to position their offerings in higher education in New York and New England. In 1997 She returned to Digital as a senior account manager responsible for New York State.
With over 20 years experience in sales and marketing, Ms. Hylant decided in 2001 to start her own consulting company and work with other small businesses that wanted to sell and market their solutions.
With the outstanding senior management team in place at Affinity Enterprises, Ms. Hylant expects to continue the successful growth of the consulting business and bring greater value to clients in both the private and public sector.
Mr. Notebaert began his career in technology with Digital Equipment Corporation in financial management as the North East Region Business Manager. His natural ability to form valuable client relationships led him to a Sales Executive position as their Global Account Manager for Digital Equipment assigned to Corning Inc. Here he worked closely with Corning executives helping them take advantage of the technology revolution by implementing state of the art business solutions for both office and manufacturing.
Mr. Notebaert's growing interest in technology led him to start his own company. As CEO of Technology Planning and Management, LLC, he provided technology consulting for K-12 schools that included long-range technology and financial planning, project management, and E-rate coordination and submission. He enjoyed being a part of the learning experience and seeing first hand how his guidance could provide opportunities for so many students.
Mr. Notebaert's career then led to joining the Management Team as Director of Technology Planning and Marketing for Thomas Communications and Technologies, LLC. There he provided technology consulting for K-12 schools that included long-range technology and financial planning, project management, and E-rate coordination and submission.
This experience and his continued business relationship with Ms. Hylant led to him to join the Management Team for Affinity Enterprises, where his experience will play an important part in the company's success.
